Galactic – Virgin’s Green Space Travel Platform

All eyes are on Virgin Galactic and its space tourism endeavors. Richard Branson, with his usual panache, seems to have his hands on a pot of gold, since there are no competitors at all. In addition, Virgin Galactic has already roped in close to four hundred bookings for tickets. Tickets that come for $ 200 000 (£ 125, 000) for a flight that could take close to two years in the making.
The airfield and research center for Virgin Galactic is situated in the middle of Mojave Desert, New Mexico, located about hundred miles from Los Angeles. The site is all of five thousand acres, and the air space used is not shared by commercial vehicles, since there is the White Sands Missile testing facility close by. The terminal was designed ecologically to blend with the environment by Norman Foster.
